POLISH GARDEN PARTY
and BARBECUE JULY 2021
The invitation
The Menu
35 Friends and guests enjoyed an afternoon in the geographical centre of the wonderful county of Norfolk.
We could not have asked for better weather!
The NPHG committee would like to thank each participant for supporting our first event of 2021 (July 25th) and for the whole-hearted sense of friendship and enthusiasm which he or she brought to the proceedings. Things seemed to go with a swing and the only reluctance we noticed was a certain unwillingness to grasp the parcel when the music stopped during the 'Polish Pass The Parcel' game. Congratulations go to Richard Minkler for knowing the name of the World's Strongest Man (a Pole) and all those who were able to count from 1-10 in Polish!
Even if guests couldn't read the words or didn't know the music, 'Miała Baba Koguta' and 'Pije Juba' sounded remarkably harmonious and well done to those who just pretended to be singing along; they were very convincing.
We ate up nearly all the food and it's great to see that, whatever their age, Poles and even those who have an affinity with Poland, have very healthy appetites.
Dziękujemy za pomoc w uczynieniu tego bardzo przyjemnym dniem po tak trudnym okresie w naszym życiu - Thanks for helping to make it a very enjoyable day after such a difficult period in our lives.
