Poland National Independence Day 100TH Anniversary Celebration 2018
Over 120 Friends and guests gathered in Norwich on Saturday 10th November to celebrate one of the most important dates in Polish life. The evening began with a short history of Poland presented by Tina.
"Karolinka" started the proceedings by singing the Polish National Anthem along with the audience of over 120 people
Adam, played guitar and sung whist guests helped themselves to a delicious and traditional Polish buffet with 'Bigos' (Hunter's Stew) and regional specialities.
Karolinka entertained the audience with traditional songs and dance.
Home-made Polish cakes and pastries were served accompanied by the combined voices of Karolinka singers.
There were some great prizes won in the raffle which helped raise funds for the Group.
Our special guests included World War II veterans Antoni Czapp, and Doris Rowland, widow of Franciszek Klaczak, each participants in our Archive Project.
